Love Bound
I managed to get some time in at the computer which is hard now that the kids are home for the summer. Our sunny days are still 1 out of 7 if we are lucky so rotating computer time comes in handy. My husband is a truck driver and we are apart way more than we are together. That is how this kit started. We don't write letters to keep in touch but we do talk on the phone as much as possible. Long distance relationships are hard but they can work. You need to put in 110% and COMMUNICATE!! That has been the most important part other than having trust. We (our daughters and I) only get to see him a day to a day and half a week. All year long we struggle with missing him. Thankfully there has been advances in technology and we can speak to him way more than I got to speak with my dad. He drove truck too. I knew the draw backs to being a truckers wife way before I met my husband. I saw my mom struggle with it for years. I struggled with it for years, as did my 3 brothers.
Memories are priceless to begin with.......having such limited time to do that makes it invaluable! Scrap your stories, your journaling, or the special moments spent together.
I will probably be a couple weeks before I am able to get anything new up. I decided to try to do a garage sale. We'll see how that goes......expecting more rain..... We also have our first camping weekend coming up. Unfortunately, the hubs can not go as planned so I am no longer looking forward to it like I was. Hopefully we can make enough with the garage sale so he can join us for our week long vacation up north. There is no such thing as vacation time when you own your truck.
